The Story Behind KM Jewelry Design
At KM Jewelry Design, every piece tells a story — your story.
From heirloom redesigns to custom engagement rings, I help clients across Morton, East Peoria, and Washington, Illinois create meaningful, one-of-a-kind jewelry that honors where you’ve been and celebrates where you’re going. Every design is created by private appointment, so you get my full attention from start to finish.

How It All Began
I’ve been making jewelry since I was 11 years old. One day, I found a daisy-chain bracelet pattern in American Girl Magazine, grabbed every bead I could find, and started creating. I wore that first bracelet to school, and soon my friends wanted one too. That was it — I was hooked.
What started as a childhood hobby turned into a lifelong passion. Over the years, I moved from simple beading to fine jewelry, spending more than a decade learning diamond grading, gemstone identification, and custom CAD design. Eventually, I earned my GIA Accredited Jewelry Professional Certificate and decided it was time to take the leap — launching KM Jewelry Design LLC here in Central Illinois.
Jewelry About You. For You.
KM Jewelry Design has always been about people first.
My clients come to me with stories — a daughter sorting through her mother’s heirlooms, a woman transforming her wedding ring after a divorce, or a couple designing an engagement ring with a family diamond. These moments are emotional, beautiful, and deeply personal.
My job is to take those stories and turn them into something you can wear. Something that feels like you.
Whether it’s a custom redesign, repair, or completely new piece, I want you to leave with jewelry that means more every time you put it on.
The Story Behind My Logo
My logo is more than just a design — it’s a reflection of who I am and what KM Jewelry Design stands for.
The black and white represent a blank canvas, a space for each client to “fill in the blanks” with their own color, meaning, and transformation. Black symbolizes strength and depth; white represents clarity and new beginnings. Together, they create a balance between resilience and renewal — just like the stories behind so many of the pieces I create.
Then there’s KM Rose, my signature brand color. It’s inspired by the roses my father-in-law, Barry Miller, helped me plant outside our first home before he passed away from COVID in 2021. That rose color reminds me of love, growth, and transformation — the same emotions many of my clients feel when we breathe new life into a piece that’s been tucked away for years.
Together, these colors tell the story behind my brand:
strength, transformation, and the beauty of beginnings.
My Promise
When you work with me, you’re not just another client — you’re part of the story.
I take the time to listen, to understand what your jewelry means to you, and to make sure the process feels personal and empowering. Every piece is designed with care, intention, and integrity.
Because jewelry isn’t just something you wear.
It’s something you carry.
